That’s great, thanks for the link. Just what is needed to get going as the Tory blue Stronger IN colouring was a block.
This reminds me of that dynamic campaign ‘AV Yes’.
Oh, wait a minute. . . . . . . . . .
Why don’t we just use #stronger in? There is strength in numbers and this is not about party politics!
Why are the party’s limited resources being used to promote the European Union when there are other well funded campaigns doing just that ?
Hi Meg,
It is about having ways to involve the maximum number of people. Some people want to get involved in a non-party Stronger IN campaign. Other people want to get involved in a LD IN (or Labour IN or Con IN for that matter too). Some don’t mind but the different groups to get involved with give people options.
Hi nvelope,
The view is that this is the most important campaign for the party and the country in a generation, with permament consequences of great magnitude.
We really can’t devote touch effort to it.
Antony Hook : The evidence from previous referendum campaigns and the European elections seems to indicate that party political interventions are not only counter productive but also damage the parties themselves. The collapse of the Liberal Democrat voting base seems to have accelerated after the 2014 European election (the party of IN) and the Scottish referendum (Better Together) not to mention the AV referendum.
The Liberal Democrats would be well advised to keep out of this campaign if they really value our membership of the EU and are taking the Fightback seriously.
Please consider this very carefully.
