And it’s a happy Christmas from the Clegg family

The Guardian yesterday compared the Christmas cards sent by the leaders of the three main parties, so we thought LDV readers might appreciate seeing the festive missive despatched from Nick Clegg to those lucky people who’re on his list.

Here’s what The Times had to say about it:

…Nick Clegg’s card, drawn by his sons Antonio, 8, and Alberto, 5, is so touchy-feely and brimming with yuletide innocence that one worries it might be delivered with a free hug from the Liberal Democrat leader himself. Is the man in the red suit Uncle Vince?

“It is very sweet,” mused Mr [Ronald Bracey, a consultant clinical psychologist who specialises in media strategy]. “It’s not conveying any political messages and is just simple and naive.”

The Voice assumes that Nick’s good wishes to LDV are in the post …

Chris Huhne’s is a pair of spherical penguins, having gone for the old “competition in the primary schools” approach. I’m not quite sure what penguins have got to do with Christmas (penguins are from the Antarctic), but hey, more original than a tree.

  • Is it me, or is Mrs Clegg expecting again?

  • David Howarth’s is a giraffe putting a star on the top of a Christmas tree – using its mouth.

There is a very obvious, cheap crack to be made here…. 🙂

There is a very obvious, cheap crack to be made here, too, given her religion.
