Welcome to the lucky thirteenth episode of our weekly round-up from the Lib Dem blogosphere, featuring the seven most popular stories according to click-throughs from the Aggregator (7th – 13th May), together with a hand-picked quintet you might otherwise have missed.

I don’t know if it’s because he’s superstitious, but your regular host Stephen Tall has taken a well-earned break and kindly asked me to fill in this week. So, I will step into his Lib Dem Voice chain-and-robes of office, starting with the seven most popular clicks:

1. Important Lib Dem News – Please Read! on Ross Pepper’s Little Yellow Box of Life blog. It just shows how a dramatic headline helps, as this attention-grabbing link to a highly offensive conservative website was the most popular of the week.

2. Lets not forget to blame Charlie Kennedy on Bernard’s Clowns to the Left of Me blog. In Bernard’s eyes, he isn’t the most successful Liberal leader in 80 years, but the cause of Ming’s problems.

3. Defection Elections; what will Mr. Cameron say? was a post on Jock Coats’ blog about ex-colleagues of Stephen and myself.

4. Who wants a “Cameron” leading the Lib Dems? asked Paul Walter on Liberal Burblings. Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who’s the scariest chief of all?

5. That Ming poll in the Times was by Rob Fenwick on Lib Dem Voice. A public service announcement that set the world alight.

6. A message to Ming from Peter Pigeon via Pigeon Post. “You have done a massive amount to modernise the Liberal Democrats – but it remains almost a secret.”

7. Lib Dems Make More Gains Than Conservatives on Jonathan Wallace’s blog. There might be a bug with our stats software, but I *think* this piece of optimism gets 7th spot this week. Consider the ambiguous result a tribute to the Scottish elections.

And then five others that stood out as interesting:

8. So just how strongly did the Lib Dems oppose the Freedom of Information (amendment) Bill? asked Hywel Morgan, here on Lib Dem Voice.

9. An Act of Folly on Peter Black’s Blog, which assures us that Lembit is on the job.

10. My sandal-wearing, yoghurt-weaving, beardy secret life exposed! on James Graham’s Quauequam! blog. A typical Lib Dem member ponders further on the question of leadership.

11. The constitution and liberties debates – are we ready to fight on our own ground? on Edis Bevan’s MKNE political information blog. A good question, on one of my favourite Lib Dem blogs.

12. One parade, one flag, one video on Stephen Tall’s A Liberal Goes A Long Way blog. He probably won’t let me fill in again, unless I plug this video evidence that the Deputy Lord Mayor waves in mysterious ways.
