What do party members in Haltemprice & Howden think?

Last night’s local fundraising dinner was, as it turns out, remarkably well timed, and this is what members made of it all,
“All I think I can say in summary is that although there will be many in party upset by our decision not to oppose Davis, judging from last night’s gathering, the local party in Haltemprice & Howden felt the right decision had been made.”

Perhaps a candidate standing agsinst D. Davis would have brought out a proper debate on the issues which all stem from EU legislation
Did anyone say why they thought it was the right decision?
Or what evidence might be brought forward to change their minds?
I just think we’ve made a huge mistake in not standing.
People are going to get the impression that David Davis is the only person who’s concerned about all these alien lizards taking over the world.
Sorry, I didn’t mean David Davis. I meant the other guy.
The quotation is not “what the members made of it all” (unless they formed some kind of chorus and pronounced it in unison), it is a report of the event by one person.
Presumably we don’t know what the members think as they haven’t been individually surveyed.
