The Labour party are allowing the entire British public to have a say in choosing the next Labour party leader and Prime Minister of Britain – all you have to do is join the party (for a minimum of £1pm unwaged) first.
Labour’s “Join up, join in” campaign says:
“Being a member of a political party means a lot and in the coming months our members will be asked to elect a new Leader and Deputy Leader for the Labour Party, and, for the first time in history, the next Prime Minister. Never before has the membership of any political party had such power to shape the future of British politics, nor such a responsibility to the people of Britain, and the history of our movement. It is a responsibility and a privilege.
We want as many members as possible to take part in this historic election – this is your time, your opportunity.
You can also join by annual direct debit or credit/debit card.”
I think I’ll pass up on the offer and cast my ballot for free at the next General Election, ta.

Joing Labour to vote against Mr Frown??? No thanks.
A close friend who IS a member of the Labour party tells me he has five votes. One as a constituency member in Swindon, one in Lewisham where he has a London house (that he rents out), one from his membership of the Fabian Society, yet another from association with his union…
It’s pathetic! I responded that being a Lib Dem allows each member only one vote… we call it “one member one vote”!
He thought it rather novel, but didn’t think it would work.

I’m certainly not boosting Labour’s numbers – just think of their crowing about the increase in thier membership, yuk! However if I could vote it would be for Ed Balls because he reminds me so much of David Brent.
