Under no circumstances compromise on parliamentary and electoral reform. We have campaigned on this issue in our ward and won. Many undecided voters will almost certainly vote for others if we sell out. This is an historic time for the Party and it must NOT abandon one of the central building blocks of what we stand for. In Rochdale, the party was formed in 1834 as the Rochdale Reform Association. Our bank account still has this name. We want reform NOW. Anything less is to betray party activists and underline that we are a third party and deserve to be. We must stick to our principles otherwise we are nothing.

(Ex Chair, Ex Treasurer and Currently member of the constituency Executive)
I have voted for the Liberal Democrats for the last four elections but will no longer do so I could not believe that this party would align its self with the Conservative Party a party that is opposed to every thing that the Liberal Democrates have stood for the Labour Party would have been the best of the two evils.
I can no longer support a party who have abandened their ideals for the sake of power
