Phil Willis: a career in pictures

Or rather, a picture in a career.

Phil Willis’s career has been occasionally colourful! I will give, oh I don’t know, a shake of the hand to the first person (not pictured in the photograph) to come up with a plausible explanation for what Sarah Ludford is doing with that shark and what Phil Willis is doing with Will Howells’s foot.

    It was a LDYS stunt for the TV. Our tag line was something about the government being loan sharks for students. I forget the details. I was there but I seem to have been erased from history and so technically am not in the picture which means I’m surely eligible to win!?

    If you look closely we (ahem, they) are wearing balls and chains around their ankles which I presume Phil was trying to illustrate by hoiking Will’s leg in the air. Balletic isn’t he?

    I worked it out as something similar (loan sharks, debt as a ball and chain on students)

    It is not to be fair something that is obvious from a still image 🙂
