Yes, Graham and Sally – the dual mandate rule kicks in. Same reason Sarah Ludford will have to stand down from the European Parliament

I don’t think it is the ‘dual mandate’ rule has anything to do with Graham and Sally deciding to stand down. I think I’m right in saying that that only applies to European Elections.

“Wyre Forest, 23 March 06, Bryan Lewis ”

So the Libdems will stand next time in Wyre Forest

Seems so, and seems fair – the sitting MP now has a record to be judged on like any other MP.

Graham and Sally are standing down, but it’s nothing to do with the dual mandate and all to do with their wish to do other things in their lives – including in Graham’s case remaining on Sutton council.

Colin Ross. Thanks. I’ve missed his official announcement. Not a surprise though considering his age.
