There’s still time to register for federal conference in Bournemouth – but if you really can’t go, you can still participate in some of the sessions. For the four Q&A sessions, featuring party spokespeople and outside commentators, questions are welcome from any party member:

Sunday 14th September, 14.50 – 15.35: Q&A session with Nick Clegg, Leader of the Liberal Democrats.

Monday 15th September, 16.20 – 17.20: Q&A session on environmental policy, with a panel comprising Steve Webb MP (Shadow Secretary of State for the Environment), Chris Davies MEP (Environment spokesperson, European Parliament), Dorothy Thornhill (Mayor of Watford) and Jonathon Porritt (Chair, UK, Sustainable Development Commission). Questions welcome on any environmental issue, or any aspect of Lib Dem environmental policy.

Tuesday 16th September, 16.00 – 17.00: Q&A session on the economy, with a panel comprising Vince Cable MP (Shadow Chancellor), Jeremy Browne MP (Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury), Paul Ekins (Professor of Energy and Environment Policy, King’s College, London) and Lian Halligan (Economics columnist, Sunday Telegraph). Questions welcome on any economic issue, or any aspect of Lib Dem economic policy.

Wednesday 17th September, 10.15 – 11.00: Q&A session with the parliamentary parties of the Liberal Democrats, with a panel comprising Paul Burstow MP (Chief Whip), Lorely Burt MP (Chair, Commons Parliamentary Party), Lord McNally (Leader, Lib Dem peers), Lord Shutt (peers’ Chief Whip), Andrew Duff MEP (Leader, Lib Dem MEPs) and Sharon Bowles MEP (MEPs’ Chief Whip). Questions welcome on any aspect of Lib Dem activities in the UK or European Parliaments.

For those coming to conference, the deadline for questions is the end of the morning or afternoon session preceding the Q&A session. For party members not at conference, questions can be emailed to [email protected] by 17.00 on Thursday 11th September. Please keep your question to no more than 25 words, and remember to specify your local party as well as your name.
