Cherie Blair and Princess Margaret

An extract from her memoirs:

One evening I was at the Royal Opera House for some gala performance and was talking to [Princess Margaret] about what we had seen when Chris Smith came over (the then Minister of Culture, who is gay).

“Have you met Chris Smith, our Culture Secretary, Ma’am?” I asked.

She peered at him.

“And this is his partner,” I added.

“Partner for what?”

I took a breath. “Sex, Ma’am.”

She stalked off.

I am in a gay relationship. There is a little more to it than sex.

    Not that any-one cares. (ironic)

Doesn’t it say volumes on what Cherie Blair’s view of gay relationships really is.

Princess Margaret would have moved in circles that included many gay people.

I think this bit of her memoirs shows just what a vulgar person she really is and what her real views of gay people are.

    IAW Colchester Pete.

Any indication what Chris Smith’s views on this were? Because Cherie has a very clear self-congratulatory tone right there…
