Pro-Lib Dem bias at the BBC shocker

Of course, I read that caption from earlier today as a mark of praise rather than of exasperation:

  • Why is what Huhne is suggesting any different from sex offenders having to register/notify changes in their address?

    It isn’t that registering your email address, ISP, “IP address” (ok that bit is a bit luddite but range could be worked out from the ISP) is a measure that isn’t easily evaded but that it defines behaviour which is a clear breach of sex offender order conditions.

    There are three options for internet access by sex offenders, no controls, a complete ban on access or access under certain defined conditions. I’m not sure either of the first two are particularly good options for the majority of situations.
