Is this the silliest piece of by-election spin ever?

Would hate to think this has anything to do with his business acumen..
Was that + or - £4800 to labour party,
and that 3.19pct increase to the libdems was invisible…
these new political games are now beginning to bore me….

if they want to say that they’re the only party increasing their % (which is not true), they could have at least not published the full results below with changes showing that their previous line is not accurate

I read a couple of posters on Politicalbetting.com trying to spin such rubbish after the result came in. Why is politics filled with such blatant liars?

Grant was trying to push that line last night before the results had come in. “The party to make the biggest increase in vote” I think was his phrase.

I must commend you for lending the Tories the guy who draws your bar graphs in their hour of need - that’s most charitable of you.

Talk of Grant 1234 Shapps as some kind of Tory Rennard is such a joke. He is a walking electoral disaster zone. Best of all was his line that all 3rd place parties get squeezed - err, tell that to the LibDems in Sedgefield who pushed the Tory candidate from 2nd place to 3rd. What a Tory idiot!

I can’t help remembering the Labour MP on TV on the night of the Bermondsey by-election (sorry - I’m showing my age!) trying to argue that the real news was how badly the Tories had done.
